G’s Pita Chips

Whole Wheat Pita Bread
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Spices/Flavors (cheddar cheese, ranch, bbq, cinnamon/Splenda, garlic & pesto, etc...)
Tear open Pita and brush olive oil on both sides
Generously sprinkle seasoning of choice on both sides of pita.
Tear in ½’s or in chip size pieces
Bake at 350º for about 10-15min. They should be crispy, but don’t burn ‘em!
If bread is looking too toasty it’s time to take them out.
Enjoy alone or with a dip! Makes a great snack or appetizer!
Use Splenda & cinnamon instead of sugar for a tasty & healthy treat!

Easy Cheesy Smoked Salmon Dip

7oz Smoked Salmon (add more or less to your liking)
1 8oz container Fat Free Cream Cheese
Soul Food Seasoning
Cook or heat salmon
Microwave Cream Cheese until Softened
Stir in Salmon & Soul Food Seasoning
Eat warm or cool
Great on Crackers!

Famous Oatmeal Cookies:
Not so Healthy, but REALLY Good!

(Mix)
1C Margarine (2sticks)  (I can’t believe it’s not butter)
2C DARK Brown Sugar
2 Eggs
1 Tsp Vanilla
SIFT the following on top :
1 ½ C All Purpose Flour
1 Tsp Baking Powder
1 Tsp Baking Soda
1 Tsp Cinnamon (I sometimes add more)
½ Tsp Salt
Stir In: 3 C Quick Oats
Chill Dough for a few hours or overnight
Roll in Balls
Roll Balls in Powdered Sugar
Place on Ungreased Cookie Sheet
Press Ball down w/Fork
Bake 350deg/8-10 Min
*To make a chewy cookie, when they are puffy take them out and hit cookie sheet on the counter
*Sift more Powdered Sugar on top of the Finished Cookie
